Hodge worked with many local subcontractors to create a building whose corbeled brickwork and steel features help to set the tone of traditional and quality construction in the Iowa River Landing.
The north and south portions of the building allow for through traffic and access to parking in the parking ramp. The second floor is one continuous space, which Hodge Construction fitted out as a 42,000 square foot extension of the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics Iowa River Landing facility. To connect this new clinic to the existing, Hodge constructed a glass skybridge and temperature-controlled walkway through the parking ramp. Throughout this project, Hodge worked with the developers and city officials, doctors and representatives from UIHC, and the University’s Capital Management.
